David B. Reid, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical
psychologist, author, Adjunct Clinical Professor in the
Department of Health Sciences at the James Madison
University, and Founder and President of In The Zone
Consulting, Inc., a business consulting firm in Central
Virginia specializing in leadership training, conflict
resolution, and promotion of healthy workplace
habits. A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland and
Wright State University, Dr. Reid completed a
postdoctoral fellowship in rehabilitation and
neuropsychology at the University of Virginia in 1993.
In 2005, Dr. Reid was selected and appointed by
Governor Mark Warner of Virginia to serve on the
Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative Trust Fund
Advisory Board, a governor-appointed body that
administers the funding of ground-breaking research
and innovative community-based neurotrauma
rehabilitation programs. In 2009 Dr. Reid was
appointed to another 4 year term by Governor Tim
Kaine. He was elected chairman of this board during
his first year and is now in his 4th term in that
Dr. Reid was an invited speaker at the European
Association of Urology's 26th Annual Congress in
Vienna, Austria. The EAU Congress was held on March
18th - 22nd, 2011 at the Austria Centre Vienna.
Dr. Reid has appeared as a guest on radio and
television news programs and served as an expert
behavioral health consultant for an ABC affiliate in
Dr. Reid has authored two books published by
Springer Publishing Company in New York.

He has written two yet-to-be published
psychological thrillers featuring forensic
psychologist, Dr. Richard Valese and his crime
solving partner, Jake Freeman, a rough-and-ready
Baltimore City detective. The first novel, "The Cat's
Curiosity" introduces the adventurous duo as they
tackle the 20th century's most intriguing conspiracy.
The next novel, "The Devil's Tools" finds Valese and
Jake pursuing a highly intelligent serial killer.
